G2 Gallery, California,Summer 2014
The G2 Gallery supports the arts and the environment through it’s exhibitions and interactions with artists, committed to producing creative works that shine the candle a bit brighter on the natural beauty and grace of this blue planet in hopes that we will act in ways to protect the integrity of ecosystems. In our contemporary world, where our human development in the last few decades has led to the extinction of nearly 50 percent of the vertebrate animal life on the planet; and we continue to overshoot our budget of natural capital earlier and earlier each year without replenishing vital reserves of clean water, soils, fish, forests… it is urgent that we stimulate compassion and purpose to counteract these disparaging trends. My interview with the director of the G2 Gallery, Jolene, highlights a few of my local-global ideas and future visions.
